This book is a compilation of my notes and reflections from my experience in a CALL certificate program at Arizona State University. Throughout my studies, I engaged with various theories, tools, and pedagogical approaches that shape the integration of technology into language learning. These notes were initially personal records of my learning process, but over time, I realized their potential value for educators and students navigating the evolving landscape of CALL.

Given the nature of this collection, readers may notice some overlaps between chapters, as certain themes and concepts are revisited from different angles. This repetition is intentional, as it reflects the iterative nature of understanding CALL, where multiple perspectives on a single topic contribute to a more comprehensive grasp of its applications and implications. Rather than a polished, conclusive text, this book serves as a dynamic and evolving document, one that will continue to develop based on classroom experiences and feedback.

To ensure its practicality, I plan to use this book as a teaching resource for one year, applying its content in real classroom settings. This process will allow me to identify areas for improvement, refine explanations, and incorporate additional insights based on student engagement and learning outcomes. The goal is to enhance the book’s effectiveness as a guide that is both informative and applicable to diverse educational contexts.
